Impermanence
My intention with this project was to make images of landscape beyond mere geography - to explore myth, history, and reflection… and see how these different perspectives merge into an overarching metaphor of impermanence, while at the same time exploring the mutual and systemic connections between people and the earth.
Almost all the photographs were made in three days during the late summer of 2021 in New Mexico. When I set out into the landscape, guided only by the mantra of impermanence, I had no idea what images would reveal themselves.
